This three-module online training programme is designed for actors who want to expand their professional toolkit, strengthen their vocal versatility, and feel fully prepared for self-tapes, auditions, and roles requiring accent work.

Each module runs for 5 weeks:

Module One- "General American"

Module Two- "Received Pronunciation"

Module Three- "Acting in Accent"

Each module combines structured learning, practical drills, and personalised feedback. You’ll work at your own pace from wherever you are in the world, with direct, tailored coaching from Rosemary.

The first 2026 co-hort will begin on Tuesday 3rd March. The dates will then run:

Module One and Module Two will focus on laying the foundational skills of accent work utilising the "Standard" indusrty accents and will run as follows:

Week One- Oral Posture of the accent

Week Two- Key Vowel changes

Week Three- Key Consonant changes

Week Four- Rhythm of the accent

Week Five- Connection to intention 

You will submit a self-tape recording of your monologue 'in accent' and you will receive personalised, individual feedback with future goals from Rosemary.

Module Three will build on the foundations laid in modules One and Two with your own choice of accent.
 

You will have the chance to apply your new accent skills to deep-dive into character and context to create a truthful, grounded performance.

How is the course delivered?

 

Sessions are delivered live online in small groups.

All sessions are recorded and made available to participants if you’re unable to attend live.

Each module runs for 5 weeks and stands alone, while also connecting to the wider training.

 

How much time should I commit each week?

 

You can expect:

• one live 1.5 session per week

• independent practice between sessions (around 2 hours a week for daily exercises and script preparation work)

• time outside of the weekly session is a guide and is totally up to you 

The course is designed to fit around professional and training commitments.

 

Is there personalised feedback?

 

Yes. Each participant receives tailored feedback within the group setting, alongside structured exercises to support individual progress. As well as detailed feedback on each modules final submitted self-tape.

How will communication work during the course?

 

Course communication is designed to be clear, supportive, and manageable.

Email will be the primary method of communication for:

• Zoom links

• session reminders

• important updates

• course logistics

Please ensure you use an email address you check regularly.

Where will course materials be shared?

 

All course resources will be shared via a secure online folder (e.g. Google Drive).

This will include:

• weekly exercises

• scripts and resources

• relevant supporting materials

You’ll have access for the duration of the module(s) you are enrolled in.

Is there a community space for participants?

 

Yes. An optional WhatsApp group will be offered to each cohort as a space to:

• connect with fellow participants

• share reflections or resources

• build a sense of community between sessions

Participation is entirely optional, and the group is intended as a supportive, peer-led space rather than a coaching channel.

Please note that ongoing private coaching outside of scheduled sessions is not included as part of the programme.

Will there be any additional live content?

From time to time, there may be optional additional content such as Instagram Lives or informal Q&As.
