Actor-Centred Training in Accents
15-Week Accent Training Programme for Actors
This three-module online training programme is designed for actors who want to expand their professional toolkit, strengthen their vocal versatility, and feel fully prepared for self-tapes, auditions, and roles requiring accent work.
Each module runs for 5 weeks:
Module One- "General American"
Module Two- "Received Pronunciation"
Module Three- "Acting in Accent"
Each module combines structured learning, practical drills, and personalised feedback. You’ll work at your own pace from wherever you are in the world, with direct, tailored coaching from Rosemary.
The first 2026 co-hort will begin on Tuesday 3rd March. The dates will then run:
Module One, "General American": Tuesday 3rd March- Tuesday 31st March @ 7-8.30pm

Module One and Module Two will focus on laying the foundational skills of accent work utilising the "Standard" indusrty accents and will run as follows:
Week One- Oral Posture of the accent
Week Two- Key Vowel changes
Week Three- Key Consonant changes
Week Four- Rhythm of the accent
Week Five- Connection to intention
You will submit a self-tape recording of your monologue 'in accent' and you will receive personalised, individual feedback with future goals from Rosemary.
Module Three will build on the foundations laid in modules One and Two with your own choice of accent.
You will have the chance to apply your new accent skills to deep-dive into character and context to create a truthful, grounded performance.
Whether you’re new to accent work or looking to refine your skills, this course will guide you through essential techniques and help you bring accents to life with step-by-step guidance on applying accents to monologues and scenes.

How much time should I commit each week?
